My name is Gabriel, and I’m the photographer behind Altar Studio.

Based in Arizona, I started Altar Studio out of a desire to document the beauty of Orthodox Christian life in an honest and timeless way—the people, the traditions, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed.

My work focuses on weddings, baptisms, liturgies, monasteries, clergy and monastic life, as well as the people and landscapes of the American West.

I’m drawn to photographs that feel natural rather than staged. My goal is to create images that preserve not only what a moment looked like, but what it felt like.
